Years in the Bluegrass:  The company was established in Winchester in 1902, and Ale-8-One was invented in 1926.

Products Produced:  Ale-8-One Bottling Company produces Ale-8-One, Diet Ale-8, and Caffeine Free Diet Ale-8 in 12-ounce bottles at its Winchester factory. The plant in Winchester consists of a bottling line, but the Ale-8 product line is also available in 12-ounce aluminum cans and 20-ounce plastic bottles. That business is subcontracted to distribution partners with can and plastic capabilities.

Core distribution for Ale-8-One encompasses 25 counties in central Kentucky, which are serviced by Ale-8-One trucks and personnel from the Winchester plant. Additionally, Ale-8-One has distribution agreements outside the core area to deliver Ale-8-One products throughout the region. Distribution partners vary in scope and size, including Coca-Cola Refreshments, Corbin Pepsi, Madisonville Dr. Pepper, Elizabethtown Marketing and Louisa Coca-Cola.
